NS Treinmodernisering (formerly NedTrain) specializes in the maintenance of train sets.
Since 2007, ACE has provided NS Treinmodernisering with expertise and support for developing modifications to various train types, including the VIRMm1, DDM, DDZ, ICR, ICMm, and SLT.
Additionally, ACE performs work at its Eindhoven branch using workstations configured for NSTM, with direct access to the client’s network.
Depending on the scope, tasks are performed independently or within a team, ensuring compliance with NSTM procedures and the delivery of required documentation.
Train Type VIRMm1
- Redesign of cable carriers and suspension of electrical equipment,
- modernization of the high-speed circuit breaker box,
- interior modifications,
- modification of axle sensors (for ATB and/or ABI systems).
Train Type ICR
- Conversion for high-speed use,
- updates to the electrical package and improving the reliability of electric doors.
Train Type DDZ
- Aftercare projects such as installing emergency ventilation and improving door hinges.
Train Type DDM1
- Collection and drainage of condensation formed under the air conditioning units.
Train Type ICMm
- Modification of automatic toilet locks.
Train Type SLT
- Replacement of waste bins with folding seats,
- identification stickers for "out of service" access doors for train personnel.
