Senior mechanical designer, mechanical engineering
What will you do?
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you are responsible for developing and elaborating concepts within a wide range of machine‑building projects. You take a leading role within the project team and ensure both technical quality and timely delivery of multiple (sub)projects.
- Developing and elaborating mechanical concepts for diverse machine‑building projects
- Leading and guiding designers and/or draftsmen within the project team
- Responsible for the progress of (sub)projects and ensuring that planning and deadlines are met
- Discussing projects with internal departments
- Holding technical meetings with suppliers and customers
- Preparing and supporting cost calculations
- Taking care of project administration
What do you bring?
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Design & Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent through experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design within machine building
- Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Autodesk Inventor or a comparable CAD package
- Familiarity with applicable standards and the Machinery Directive (CE)
- Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
- A team player who can lead and follow, motivate and support colleagues
- Experience with or knowledge of an ERP system is a plus
